Who We Are

We don’t just love good meat, we aspire to put it on your table. Marrow Detroit Provisions was born from Marrow – A two-time James Beard Award-nominated restaurant and whole animal butcher shop. Marrow’s mission, to honor local farms by using everything they have to offer, carries over to our practices today.

We focus on quality, craft and responsibility to our community and customers. Our mission is to build and support a robust and sustainable food system in partnership with our farmers. We aim to deliver quality and build trust through transparency. We believe in the power of educating our community through food as much as we do ourselves.

Rooted in Detroit, Spanning the Great Lakes

Our commitment to providing quality meats comes hand in hand with our commitment to creating a sustainable supply chain. We partner with farmers in the Great Lakes Region who are focused on the wellbeing of their animals as well as the environmental impact of their farming practices.. By sourcing regionally and processing locally, we minimize our carbon footprint and strengthen our regional food system.

Expanding Soon In Eastern Market

You can find us every Saturday of the year in Shed 3 during the summer months and Shed 5 in the winter months. But come 2024, we will have a permanent home on Riopelle Street! Our new building will house a state-of-the art meat processing facility and a new restaurant and rooftop bar run by our sister restaurant Marrow.

 
  • This is where the magic will happen. A USDA-inspected facility over xx sqft, we will process raw cuts and value-added products for sales in our shops, restaurants and through our distribution partners.

  • Love our Kercheval butcher shop? This will be twice as big featuring the same best-of cuts and freshly made in-house items.

  • Want to taste the best of what we offer? The creative hands at Marrow will be powering this restaurant, using the freshest cuts and ingredients while continuing our emphasis on full animal utilization.
